Avalon Airshow – March 2025

Due to significant industry interest, 2025 will likely be the first year the Department of State Growth will support a trade stand at the Avalon Australian International Airshow, Aerospace and Defence Exposition.

While Tasmanian industry is not well known for its aviation capability there are several companies producing products or having capability relevant to the sector. Whether in space domain awareness or in the production of power systems for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms, Tasmania has many lesser-known capabilities. In fact, Tasmania now manufactures and delivers integrated launch and recovery hardware used by the Australian Defence Force in its tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to the Australian Army for LAND 129 Phase 3. This event in 2025 will enable these companies, and others, to grow their businesses and explore new opportunities.

Expressions of interest for Avalon Airshow are expected to open in mid-2024.
