Gamescom, August 2022

Gamescom is the world’s largest gaming event and the leading platform for the games industry in Europe. The 2022 event was held from 24-28 August in Cologne, Germany.

As part of the Australian Pavilion produced by Austrade, in conjunction with Australia’s Interactive Games and Entertainment Association, Trade Tasmania and Screen Tasmania supported two Tasmanian game development studios to participate and exhibit at Gamescom.

Through their participation, the businesses reported an increase in online sales, website visitation and online engagement. Benefits have also been derived through media exposure due to the event, and through engagement with other studios and related businesses during the event.
