Have your say on Greater Hobart’s bus network
We are undertaking a comprehensive review of the Greater Hobart bus network to deliver improved bus routes and timetables.
The review across Greater Hobart will also cover outlying areas including New Norfolk, Sorell and Southern Beaches, Richmond, Campania and the Huon Valley.
Importantly, this review will help us understand, directly from the community, what is working and what needs improving.
The review’s focus is on routes and frequencies, on where people are travelling to, and if they are able to use the bus for their day-to-day journeys.
Public consultation is the first stage of the review, and we are seeking feedback from both existing bus users and those that don’t currently use the bus.
The review of Metro, Tassielink and Kinetic public services across Greater Hobart will aim to deliver updated routes and timetables that:
- are reliable, easy to use and convenient
- improve access to jobs and everyday needs like shopping and social activities
- make better use of available funding to benefit the most people
Feedback is being gathered through a mapping tool that will allow community members to comment on issues and opportunities in their local area. Access the mapping tool.
Comments are now open and guided towards feedback on where services go, how often they run, time of day for travel, interchanges and bus stops.
Feedback gathered will go into the overall review process and there will be further consultation once changes are identified.
Consultation will remain open until 20 June 2025.
