Fare amnesty is ending

The fare amnesty that is currently in place for bus services across the state will end on Sunday 5 July 2020.

From Monday 6 July 2020, all passengers will be required to pay the appropriate fare for their travel.

Passengers that have not yet accessed a smartcard and non-cash credit top up arrangement should do so as soon as possible to minimise the frequency of cash handling on the bus when the fare amnesty has ended.

Where there is no smartcard option, such as on some school bus services, ask your bus operator about purchasing a multi-trip ticket to reduce the number of cash transactions.
