Eat local, stay local
The Eat Local, Stay Local Program is a Tasmanian Government program designed to encourage you to travel and eat out and support our tourism and hospitality business.
Register your details for your chance to receive one of the 100,000 vouchers valued at $100 each.
Registration Period
- Registrations open: 10:00am Monday 2 June 2025.
- Registrations close: 5:00pm Monday 16 June 2025.
How to register
Step 1:
Read the Eat Local Stay Local terms and conditions and frequently asked questions to make sure you are eligible to register and understand the voucher terms and conditions.
Step 2:
Register your details into the Eat Local Stay Local ballot via the website link (available from 10am Monday 2 June 2025). One registration is permitted per person.
If you don’t have computer or smartphone access, or have trouble accessing the internet, pop into one of our Service Tasmania service centres around the state during the registration period, and the team can register on your behalf. You will need to bring proof of identity with you to register.
Step 3:
Voucher recipients will be randomly allocated through a ballot process once registrations have closed. So, keep an eye out for a notification during the week commencing Monday 23 June 2025, to see if you have been successful.
The results from the ballot are final and there is no opportunity for appeal.
Step 4:
If you are successful, purchase and complete an eligible activity between 1 July 2025 and 31 October 2025. You must spend at least $50 in a single transaction.
Submit your redemption form with evidence of your purchase before 30 November 2025 to be eligible to receive your voucher reimbursement.
Step 5:
The Department of State Growth will review all claims, and eligible claims will be processed into your nominated bank account within 14 days of acceptance.
