Workplace diversity, inclusion and wellbeing

At State Growth we are committed to upholding a safe, inclusive, respectful and representative workplace, where everyone can be themselves.

Our ThriveTogether Action Plan is our integrated wellbeing and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) action plan for 2025–26. This plan brings together our commitment to inclusive workplace culture and holistic wellbeing, recognising that they are deeply interconnected.

Through ThriveTogether, we will offer resources, programs, and initiatives designed to  promote a culture of wellbeing, belonging and inclusion. These offerings will be tailored to the diverse needs of our workforce.

We are proud of our recent achievements in diversity, equity and inclusion. Read about these achievements here:

As part of our commitment to wellbeing and inclusion, State Growth is:

  • maintaining accreditation as a Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace with the Australian Breastfeeding Association
  • implementing the Our Watch Workplace Equality and Respect Standards, which place gender equality and respect at the heart of our workplace
  • increasing employment opportunities for people with disability by implementing key actions from the JobAccess Recruitment Review
  • participating in and promoting targeted employment initiatives, such as the Tasmanian State Service Aboriginal Employment portal, youth employment programs, and the Disability Employment Portal
  • supporting our employees by participating in key events such as the TasPride Parade, International Women’s Day, International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and NAIDOC week.
  • contributing to the Tasmanian State Service Carer Employer Accreditation through recognising our employees who have caring responsibilities and providing a supporting environment, flexible work options, employee assistance services and in some cases provision of leave for caring purposes.

In doing this work we recognise the cultural practices and knowledge of Tasmanian Aboriginal people and the Tasmanian Aboriginal land on which we work, paying our respects to elders, past and present.
