Advanced Technology Strategy
The Advanced Technology Strategy sets the direction for accelerating technology adoption, innovation and capability across Tasmania’s economy. It provides a whole-of-economy framework to lift productivity, strengthen competitiveness and support economic diversification through the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems and advanced data applications.
The Strategy has four strategic priorities:
- accelerating adoption of advanced technology across all sectors
- mobilising innovation through collaboration and cluster development
- building capability through skills, leadership and workforce readiness
- strengthening infrastructure, including connectivity, computing and research platforms.
The Advanced Technology Strategy works alongside the Digital Tasmania Strategy, which focuses on the essential foundations of Tasmania’s digital economy, digital government and digital inclusion. Together, these strategies align government, industry and research effort to support a more productive, resilient and future-ready Tasmania.
