Project Assurance Framework

Infrastructure Tasmania has established a Project Assurance Framework to identify project risks and make recommendations to ensure objectives and outcomes can be delivered.

The Framework provides a structured approach for the independent assessment of the health and viability of projects and programs. It will do this through in-depth reviews, checks and reporting mechanisms.

Project assurance is an independent third-party assessment that is designed to support project development and delivery by early identification and understanding of gaps and risks to ensure project success. Project assurance is not an audit, approval, or endorsement process. It is about identifying areas for improvement.

Infrastructure Tasmania established a panel of third party, expert reviewers who carry out the review process in line with the Framework. This service is available to all Tasmanian Government agencies on a voluntary, opt in basis.

Our panel of five reviewers was established through a government tender in 2021, and details of the successful tenderers can be seen here: https://www.tenders.tas.gov.au/ContractAwarded/Details/10477
