Strategic collaboration and governance

The Hobart City Deal provides a vision, key measures of success and key focus areas for the three levels of government to collectively guide and encourage further investment in the city by embracing opportunities for growth and addressing key strategic and infrastructure challenges.

There are two governance structures that will run in parallel with complementary roles:

1. the Hobart City Deal governance monitors and reports on the implementation of the Deal
2. the Greater Hobart Act governance leads the implementation of some actions identified in the Deal, as well as having a broader integrated planning and ongoing decision making role as Greater Hobart grows.
