Tamar Action Grants

Part of the Catchment Works program, the Tamar Action Grants delivered by NRM North provides funding for dairy farmers and graziers in the Tamar Estuary and Esk River catchments to exclude stock from waterways through on-ground works and installation of infrastructure as well as improved effluent management practices in the dairy industry.

The Tamar Action Grants aim to significantly improve water quality in the kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary by excluding stock from waterways, rehabilitating riparian revegetation buffers on dairy and grazing farms, and improving effluent management on dairy farms.

Funding is available for:

  • waterway fencing
  • alternative stock water
  • stock crossings
  • effluent management, and
  • revegetation and weed management.
