Office of the Coordinator-General

Stuart Clues

Stuart Clues holds the position of Red Tape Reduction Coordinator within the Office of the Coordinator-General. Stuart has senior industry experience across Tasmania's key sectors from banking to building; transport to industrial relations.

Stuart holds both a Bachelor of Business degree specialising in industrial law from the University of Tasmania and an MBA from Monash University.

Prior to HIA, Stuart was a senior executive with the Trust Bank which operated in Tasmania for over 150 years with branches in most Tasmanian towns and communities. He is also actively involved with the Make-a-Wish Foundation which supports children with life threatening illnesses.

Reducing red tape is often about dealing with the day to day regulations that burden small businesses through being duplicative, heavy handed or serve no apparent purpose.

Stuart is a strong advocate for regulatory reform for small business. He has been working with both industry associations and the small business sector to resolve those micro reform issues that cumulatively frustrate and stifle businesses.
