Hobart Airport

Direct flights from New Zealand to Hobart Airport are expected to recommence on 7 July 2022 after international flights were paused over recent months due to New Zealand travel restrictions. The service will recommence with two flights weekly between Auckland and Hobart pending the anticipated relaxation of travel restrictions.

The 30-Year Greater Hobart Plan

The Greater Hobart Committee has released a draft Greater Hobart Plan for a six-week period of public consultation, ending 20 June 2022. The Plan seeks to bring together transport, housing and precinct planning in an integrated manner in a whole-of-city approach and identifies proposed growth areas for the city over the next 30 years.
