Before applying for a particular loan scheme, use the questions below to help you decide which one is best aligned to your project.

Regional Tourism Attraction Loan Scheme (RTALS)

  • Will your project promote visitation to regional Tasmania?
  • Will your project increase the length of time visitors stay in your region and increase visitor spending?
  • Will your project enhance the Tasmania Brand? If so click here

Heritage Places Renewal Loan Scheme

  • Is your current or proposed business within a heritage registered property?
  • Are you refurbishing a heritage property that facilitates tourism and business development opportunities?
  • Are you undertaking essential heritage conservation projects, developing a business or adapting a property to support a new business initiative that will grow the visitor economy? If so click here

Tourist Accommodation Refurbishment Loan Scheme

  • Do you own a commercial tourist accommodation business in Tasmania?
  • Will your project improve and upgrade existing tourist accommodation facilities and increase the standard of offering in regions where more is needed? If so click here

Agrigrowth Loan Fund

  • Are you a Tasmanian farm or agri-food business?
  • Are you looking to create (for example) a farm gate shop or a restaurant showcasing local produce? If so click here

West Coast Experience Loan Fund

  • Are you an existing or new tourism-based venture on the west coast?
  • Will your project:
    1. create new a new tourism initiative, experience or offering in the West Coast local government area and that aims to increase visitation to the region;
    2. Aims to create new jobs and generate new investment in the region; and
    3. Be able to start commercial operations within six months of approval.
