Singapore and Vietnam - October 2022

Singapore, together with Vietnam, are priority international markets identified in the Tasmanian Trade Strategy 2019 - 2025 for engagement across our key industry sectors.

From 10 – 14 October 2022, the Hon Jeremy Rockliff MP, Premier and Minister for Trade, led a trade and investment mission to Singapore and Vietnam.

The purpose of the mission was to:

  • promote Tasmania’s export goods and services and showcase Tasmanian premium food and beverage products.
  • explore partnerships to build business and industry collaboration to grow trade and investment opportunities.
  • explore government to government collaboration to develop trade through relations, improved logistics and supporting market access.

The Premier led a 38-member delegation that included 27 business and industry delegates.

The mission comprised of five business streams:

  • Advanced Manufacturing and Maritime
  • Investment
  • Education
  • Food
  • Beverage
