Rear Admiral (Rtd) Steve Gilmore AM, CSC is leading Tasmania’s coordinated efforts to gain a bigger share of Australia’s $200 billion upcoming defence investment as Tasmania’s Defence Advocate, bringing significant experience across a distinguished military career with the Royal Australian Navy.

The Advocate is working closely with the Department of Defence, major defence contractors, the state government and local defence capable businesses to identify and capitalise on opportunities for our state to take its place in delivering our national defence capacity.
