This initiative was Tasmania’s first trade mission across South Asia. In Sri Lanka the focus was on tertiary education, vocational training opportunities and promoting Tasmania’s expertise in renewable energy. In India, the mission promoted Tasmania’s high-quality goods and services such as tourism and hospitality, premium food and beverages, and education and skills training to a nation with growth driving demand. The Singapore component of the program focussed on relationship-building and exploring the needs of investors particularly in the tourism industry and agribusiness sector. The Indonesia stop over reinforced our commitment to the important bilateral relationship between Tasmania and Indonesia.
