Mr Joe Gayton | Tasmanian Trade Advocate to Japan

Having spent more than twenty years living and working in Japan Mr Joe Gayton has knowledge, insight and expansive network connections across both government and business.

With demonstrated experience in Australian export management and a record of achievements in trade and investment facilitation with Japanese companies, Mr Gayton is very well placed to help Tasmanian businesses achieve greater success in exporting to Japan and the broader north east Asia region.

Ms Emily Minson | Tasmanian Trade Advocate to the USA

With experience working with some of the world’s foremost leaders in defence and in security and traceability technology, Ms Emily Minson has previously advocated for the implementation of advanced technologies to secure Australia’s excise tax revenue on imported goods as well as create secure supply chains for Australian export products.

Ms Minson has highly developed communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships in high-level forums.

Ms Vivian Zhao | Tasmanian Trade and Investment Representative to Greater China

Ms Vivian Zhao has terrific market intelligence, a strong trade background and an extensive network. Based in the Austrade Shanghai offices Ms Zhao promotes Tasmania, attracts Chinese investment and assists our Tasmanian exporters doing business in China.

Ms Zhao has supported many Tasmanian companies exporting products to China through business matching, trade shows and assisting business delegations. She is continuing to work to strengthen opportunities for Tasmanian companies doing business with China, including a keen focus on digital promotion and eCommerce.
